Bathroom Bonanza!

OK so Friday I just got the great desire to paint something. I mean, really, doesn't everyone have that pang every so often?
So the kids are in bed at naps & I'm thinking I want to paint, but I realize I don't have long.
Well the kids bathroom turned out to be the chosen room. A quickie for me.

So I get in & out before Tim ever gets home. With the plain wall stuff anyway.

I'm not putting pictures of the before, because I'm figuring that you all know what just plain white walls in a bathroom look like.

But Here is how I spruced it up with some green that matches the frogs on the shower curtain perfectly.
Friday evening I had 4 Rakoci kids over so Holly(my 10 year old niece) was a huge help & while I painted the grass, she did all the Dragon Fly stamping. She was so pleased that I was letting her pick where to put them & everything. What's a kids bathroom if a kid can't help design it, huh?
And the best part was that the paint was free (given to me by a friend), which is why there was a limited amount & I used ever last drop of it. Cool, huh.

OK, I really would never have the urge to paint my bathroom, or any room for that matter, just hit me. BUT, I do LOVE the look. And you make it sound so fun and easy. I was not blessed with this gift! That is why the Lord gave me YOU! :-) So... when are you coming over to paint up my kid's bathroom or something? If you ever get the urge again, I will loan you the walls needed, as well as finance the endevour, and you are more than welcome to paint at my house. :-) I'll even watch your kids for you while you do it. :-)

A Fresh look.

Time again for one of those painting/decorating pangs to hit me. I put the kids down for naps & knew that I didn't want to do housework or sit at the computer or anything else that I normally would do with this quiet time to myself. Family Memories

It's totally weird & unexpected, but the 4 day vacation up to Show Low was one of our best vacations ever! Even Tim said that was true for him. It was nothing spectacular, just good, clean fun! Relaxing, yet not boring. Fun, yet not busy. And the kids all behaved & got along...maybe that's what made it awesome! Plus the fact that we hadn't done too much as a family for a year due to Tim's hospitalizations, sicknesses & lack of vacation time left. We went to a very fancy restaurant. Savannah had been learning in school about etiquette in a place like this, so she was able to practice it & keep the boys in line. This place also had a live band out back, so afterwards we went out there & sat around the fire and danced a little. We all played frisbee golf. My time to reminisce about Dawson.

No matter what I do, my children just keep getting older! I tell them they aren't allowed to. I don't give them big parties. Nothing works. :-0 I so vividly remember the first days with him in our family. Savannah & Hunter were thrilled to have a baby in our house. My little thumb sucker. I have to say, Dawson is just so full of life & personality & odd thoughts & sayings. He's very imaginative and thoughtful & caring and the next minute he's pestering someone out of their mind! He's unpredictable most of the time. He will always find the loop-hole to the rule & find a way to do something naughty that there wasn't a rule made up for yet.
