I really wanted to use my husband's tagline from his blog, which is: my thoughts about life and love and other mysteries. But I decided not to, just to mention it, because he's so witty to come up with stuff like that. So anyway, I went to the Optometrist today. My eye dr . is actually a good friend of ours. His family is in our homeschool group & he helps out as one of my Sparks leaders in Awana sometimes. Anyway, it's just cool to go there & have conversations about praising the Lord for different things. Their church (the Presbyterian church in town), finally got a pastor and he was telling me all about that. Then we did talk about if he saw people with weird eyes, like 2 different colors & stuff. He said yes, there's one lady that has one blue eye & one hazel-brownish eye. Weird. On a different subject, Tim & I along with my sister & her husband are all in a March Madness league, where you pick your teams & get points for each correct ...

Starting at 3:00pm we had our Family March Get together at our house. Once again a great use for the bouncing castle. We celebrated the following birthdays: Candice (2/20), Mom (3/4), Savannah again (3/11), Cherri (3/28) and Kayleigh (4/6). So there were lots of gifts to open & fun and noise. Kayleigh is always so animated...I just love it! Mom got everything she asked for...what more could a woman want?!

Savannah's Birthday Party! My little princess celebrates her 6 th birthday. It was such an occasion also that one of her little friends ( KJ Brown) lost his very first tooth during the party. There were lots of gifts to open. We got Savannah a princess jumping castle. That's what she wanted & we had it the whole day & it sure did get used & enjoyed by lots of kids & adults. I think at one point there were like 15 kids on it at once, but it was a very big jumping castle. And, of course the Candy Land cake was a big hit! Thanks once again to Aunt Teddi & her amazing cake creations.

I asked Savannah what she wanted to do for dinner on her birthday, I offered to make her whatever she picked, take her to a restaurant she picked, or even have someone over. She promptly decided that she wanted to go to someones house & that someone was Emily. So I had to call Teddi & tell her that she won the Penick jackpot & we would all like to come over for dinner on the 11 th . She was so gracious to agree & made us a delectable dinner. We took chocolate cupcakes for dessert that Savannah made that morning. Here is Savannah just after we've sung Happy Birthday to her & that's Uncle Philip's hand grabbing the candle out. Needless to say, the kids really enjoyed the cupcakes. Here's some of the mentionable faces from that night. The winner of "best fu -man- chu ". Emily wins First Place "Best Mexican Goatee". And then all around "Messiest"!

Well today we went back to the park over in mission Royale , that's by the water park. Anyway, this time I did take the camera & got some pretty good shots of this monstrous toy place. There are 2 different rock walls to climb. It's 3 different levels high. Dawson of course loves to go up... up the steps... Up the ladders... All the way to the top level. He can go down the very fast slides by himself, but doesn't mind company either. Here's one of Jenny & Ana even having fun on it. And one of me climbing up the wall. And when the babies get tired & start crying, then we load them all up & go home for the day.

OK so Friday I just got the great desire to paint something. I mean, really, doesn't everyone have that pang every so often? So the kids are in bed at naps & I'm thinking I want to paint, but I realize I don't have long. Well the kids bathroom turned out to be the chosen room. A quickie for me. So I get in & out before Tim ever gets home. With the plain wall stuff anyway. I'm not putting pictures of the before, because I'm figuring that you all know what just plain white walls in a bathroom look like. But Here is how I spruced it up with some green that matches the frogs on the shower curtain perfectly. Friday evening I had 4 Rakoci kids over so Holly(my 10 year old niece) was a huge help & while I painted the grass, she did all the Dragon Fly stamping. She was so pleased that I was letting her pick where to put them & everything. What's a kids bathroom if a kid can't help design it, huh? And the best part was that the paint was free (given...

Well I finally gathered enough documentation for this next entry. I just have one girl & gender stereotypes seem to be compounded when they're put with others of the same gender. So this was harder, but still doable as well as I was too busy to take pictures when my girl was with another girl. So just keep in mind all the playing dress-up & playing babies, etc. that went on with other girls that aren't in this entry. Anyway, I have noticed that as a girl, you must always have a baby of some sort doing things "with" you. Whether it be just sitting on the couch watching a movie with your little dolly... or dancing through the living room with your big dolly. And here, I'd like to take note of all the hair on these favorite dolls. They have all been done by the wonderful girl, in this case, my dear Savannah. Though I am quite proud that she has learned to braid hair. Though now all her horses have braided tails & braided manes. Here is a picture of the ...

Ok Here is what our porch looked like... see all the paint peeling & hanging off? I couldn't stand to be outside in the back yard, for fear I would see it & think bad thoughts about my house. So I decided something had to be done. And the first thing that had to be done, was all the old paint had to be scraped off... Then the new paint had to be put on... And wala! I can now go out in my back yard & enjoy playing with the kids with no bad thoughts.
