Ok I'll post some more pictures from the cruise & then we have to get back to real life here. On the island in the Bahamas, I took a rest in one of the hammocks. It was just good to rest all the time. I already miss it. This is one of the buffet lines that we ate at often. There were so many choices. As you can see it runs down both sides for quite a ways. Here is one that Tim ordered...Spinach turnover...it actually was pretty tasty so I ordered one of my own! Here I am in the Bahamas playing like my 3rd game of volleyball...who would have thunk! Oh the food we ate. This is just one meal & it's also not including the plates of dessert that were to follow. The table wasn't even big enough for all the food we ordered. Here we are kayaking in our clear kayak. We were pretty fast. When we all went snorkeling, I got tired of it & very cold so then I just sat on the boat & watched them. Here is Tim actually Scuba diving. Pretty crazy...that's his instructor ...

Belize is where we meet up again... The official language here is actually English. We had to suit up in our zip lining gear (helmets & everything), then hike way up to the first platform. We went down 6 zip lines. They were different lengths & angles, so some were fast & others were slow. The longest one (the last one) was 400 feet long & from the platform you couldn't see the end of the line, just a cable that extended into the jungle & beyond... pretty exhilarating! Then we got out of that gear & went to retrieve our inner tube & had to carry that through the jungle trail for a 45 minute hike (with our life vest & headlamps). The weather was nice, but still we were sweating thanks to the high humidity. So it felt really nice once we got to the water. The caves were really cool & it was pitch black in them without the headlamps. We were in the caves for about 25 minutes of the hour long tubing.

We went to Roatan , Honduras for some kayaking in clear kayaks, we could see through the bottom & the water is so clear we got to see lots of fish. we went snorkeling (which all the wet/water pictures are on my sisters camera) & to tour Gumbalimba Park. Here we are by a Travelers Palm (they always are facing the same direction so you can figure out which way is North, etc) This is a 250 foot rope bridge. I always wanted to cross one, I've only seen them in the movies. They have big parrots there too & they actually weigh quite a bit. Oh, so to get to the coolest part, which is the monkeys. They are all lose, just going wherever they want. And they get sunflower seeds as treats from their trainer. Otherwise they liked to climb on us & try to take our sunglasses, etc. Here Tim & his baby monkey are gazing heavenward at something (though I don't know what). I just love Candice in this picture. She has that crazy hairdo along with the crazy/scared person look...

Whew, what a blast we had this last week. Good-bye Miami. That's what's in the background of this picture. Tim actually was all for getting up early & seeing the sunrise! I have never known him to do that before. The sunsets were beautiful as well. My husband was a great photographer with our new camera we got just 2 days before we left. Our ship was fantastic as well. There was lots to do, like bowling, a waterslide & lots of food at all hours! (more on the food in a future post) More tomorrow...

I (am about to) have a 7 year old! what?! I can't believe it. She's so great though. Happy birthday my darling baby girl. Savannah, you're everything a mother could hope for in a daughter. You're girly enough to paint your toenails with me. You're loving enough to take care of your brothers. You're smart enough to be good with school & piano & me not have to work too hard to get you to understand things. You're tough enough to live through learning how to roller skate. Your responsible enough to keep me on track. As the first kid you get to put up with your dad & I using you as our geinea pig of child rearing! And you take it very well. So thank you & I hope you have a very happy birthday! You're so beautiful!

I thought I would put down on paper (or blog) my plans for the next 2 weeks, counting down to the cruise. So we'll start with tomorrow the 2 nd - school with the kids, 5 loads of laundry to wash, fold & put away, a friend & her 2 kids are coming over to bake sugar cookies, 5:30 Hunter's t-ball game, 6:30 - 8:30 my softball games 3rd - school with the kids, Teddi (my sister-in-law) might come over with her 3 kids to play my BFF's birthday (might have to go out with her :-) ) 4 th - school with the kids, my mom's birthday, watching my friends 4 kids all day 3:30 Savannah's piano lessons 6:30 church & kids choir (and if we skipped this Hunter would have a 7pm t-ball game) 5 th - school with the kids 6pm Awana (I'm the director of Sparks) 6 th - 1pm PE Hm, maybe I should use this empty day to start packing....you think? 7 th - 8am church work day 3pm - Hunter's t-ball game 8 th - 9:30am Sunday School & church My father-in-laws' birth...
