The Awana Grand Prix

Here is all the cars our family made. Savannah & Hunter really did most all of the painting & gluing on their cars. Yes I am not very good at coming up with stuff to make. Hence the 3 shot gun shell car. :-) the middle one is a real one that isn't loaded anymore. The other two I made to match.

Hunter had to add weight to his car, so we added 3 shiny quarters. He thought it was great!

Saturday we had our races. Hunter was so excited! Each kid got to race 4 times & he got 2nd, every time until his last race when he got 1st & he was just yelling & punching in the air & jumping around, that he won. You would have thought that he had won the whole thing or something. He didn't even make it to the final race. But he was happy. All the pictures I took of him doing this came out blurry due to the extreme movement. :-)

Savannah, was happy about her races too, she didn't do quite as good, but did get a first at least once. She's just not as expressive as Hunter.

Philip & his family did a circus train theme. He was the conductor of the engine of course.Holly did win a trophy for her lion cage part of the train. Here is the whole thing connected. Archie even had a live lizard in his car. That lizard got to go for 4 fun rides down the track.
