September 11th is a day we will forever remember.

Today was already memorable for us, due to the tragedy that struck in 2001.

This morning my first-born got her drivers permit. So starts a new era in our lives. Children that drive. It's so surreal. I was pregnant with Savannah when the twin towers were attacked. It doesn't really seem that long ago, when I was driving to work, hearing on the news about what was going on in New York.

And I'm going to use that cliche' verse of Romands 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

I am happy to say that some good has come out of the Sept. 11th tragedy. I'm sure there's been plenty, but today it was in my own home.
All morning we were learning about what happened Sept. 11th, 2001. We watched the videos and learned details.
Gwen was watching & listening and continually asked questions like "did the people in the airplane that died, go to hell?". So we talked off and on about salvation and believing in Jesus (and not Allah) and Heaven and hell.
Now, understand that Gwen has known and understood for a few months her need for a savior and has said that she believes Jesus died for her sins and what it means to believe in Jesus, but has said she isn't ready to pray and will do it when she's older. That's fine, we don't pressure her, only answer her questions as they come up. She is only 4 and we want her to make this decision on her own.
Well this afternoon, while I had taken Savannah out to a celebratory lunch, Gwen told Dawson she wanted to pray and knew she needed to so that she would go to Heaven when she dies. Dawson took her to Hunter, where she explained what she wanted to do. Hunter then led her in a prayer of salvation!

I was also 4 years old when I trusted in Christ and I remember saying those same words about wanting to go to Heaven when I die. But I have never doubted my salvation and it was the best decision I ever made.

That Gwen is now also a born-again believer, with the entirety of our children is such an amazing blessing and praise! But that Hunter got to lead her in that prayer is just so awesome. Those two have always had a special connection since she was a very young baby. And that Hunter was confident enough and able, to lead his first person to Christ. Praise Jesus! It just makes this mama's heart so full!
